The QNAS Community Outreach Center (COC) is the outreach facility operating as an agribusiness and marketing resource center of the institution and community. Its serves as the source of information about the community needs essential to the relevance of the curriculum contents, training strategies and research in agribusiness and marketing.

 

Market Research

a. Commodity Systems Study

 

The object of this study is to determine the status of the commodity system with the end view of identifying investment and/or development entry points which can hopefully guide prospective investors in the implementation of viable agri-based enterprises.

 

b. Industry Profile Analysis

 

Generally, industry analysis will provide the faculty, students and farmers opportunities to evaluate and appreciate the important agroindustries existing in their respective communities that will give then relevant marketing information on which to base management decisions.

 

c. Enterprise Case Study

 

The enterprise case research aims to provide the faculty, students and farmers ideas and insights on agribusiness management and on the success and failure factors of managing an agribusiness line of enterprise. Overtime, therefore, the PTIA will be able to generate a pool of information on real and practical entrepreneurship which can be utilized by its academic program, enterprises and by the community.
